  • Norris R. Stevenson (October 27, 1939 – March 3, 2012) was an American gridiron football player. He played college football for the MU Missouri Tigers as the first African-American to receive a football scholarship from Mizzou. He was picked in 1961 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys, but spent the season on the team's reserve list. He went on to play for the Edmonton Eskimos and the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League. Stevenson died of colon cancer on March 3, 2012. He was 72.
