After relocating to Vancouver British Columbia, she continued to book roles appearing in Eureka, Falcon Beach, Killer Instinct, Sanctuary amongst other roles. Design Throughout her busy acting career in Vancouver, Rukiya has also been working as an interior designer and home stager. Her life partner, owning Ronse Massey Developments, a residential development company, hired her to select all interior and exterior finishes. Since working with him, she's designed two multi-family heritage-retention town home developments as well as three single family home developments. While working for Dekora Home Staging, Canada's leading home staging company, she gain a lot of experience staging and assisting in the staging of over 30 home staging projects. She worked closely with good friend and fellow designer Matthew Finlason. In 2007, Paperny Films approached Dekora to be the feature company on HGTV's The Stagers. Both her and Matthew starred on the show along with Bridget Saveraux and other designers for two seasons. Personal Life Rukiya has been in a relationship with Ronse Massey Developments co-owner Xavier Massey. They have one child together.
