  • Desperate Housewives is commonly known for being a family show that breaks taboos, and thus it is made up of, among many other things, recurring themes that can be found in between the lines of its ongoing and/or episodic stories. A rundown of some of the most remarkable themes of the series can be read below.
  • Name: Themes Run Time: 5:58 Written By: Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman, Steve Howe Year: 1989 * An Evening Of Yes Music Plus
  • Themes/Genres are a suggested future feature on Habitica. This would change the characters, flavor text, and images into a different style (for example, cyberpunk or farming) rather than the standard 8-bit theme. This is discussed further in the About Themes Trello card. Some users have created custom styles/themes to enhance usability, add new elements, or change Habitica's appearance. Players can create their own themes by gamifying the names of their own tasks and of the tasks in challenges they create.
  • A Theme is the music you hear when playing a level. They are an essential part of Patapon, as they help create the rhythm that the Patapons fight with. Themes can be exclusive to certain levels, or repeated throughout many. In Patapon 3, you can choose what theme you listen to during a level. There are a total of 43 themes in Patapon 3, 41 of which are available for purchase at Silver Hoshipon's Shop, for one star shard each, after you have chosen all 3 endings.

  • One clear theme throughout the book is that institutions are not monolithic beasts. Firstly, the avout and the saecular each have characters with whom the reader has various levels of sympathy. Then, early on we find that the Ita, a kind of NSA-for-avout, has factions within it that have different goals and internal politics. One Ita joins the protagonist in his ultimate quest. Likewise, the geometers are not of one mind, and evidence of a kind of civil unrest is one of the first encounters with them. This theme reaches its pinnacle in the epilogue, when those building Saunt Orolo's concent or whatever name they end up calling it, hedge their bets against harmony and unity across the cosmi by building walls where gates can be retrofitted in case of war.
  • Each season of The Wire focuses on a different facet of the city of Baltimore. In chronological order they are: the illegal drug trade, the seaport system, the city government and bureaucracy, the school system, and the print news media. The large cast consists mainly of character actors who are little known for their other roles. Simon has said that despite its presentation as a crime drama, the show is "really about the American city, and about how we live together. It's about how institutions have an effect on individuals. Whether one is a cop, a longshoreman, a drug dealer, a politician, a judge or a lawyer, all are ultimately compromised and must contend with whatever institution they are committed to."

For example, the London Theme has polluted water instead of normal freshwater, and the Hell Theme has magma. The Cheese Theme is the most unrealistic theme. Many default teams (especially in campaigns) in the 3rd generation and 3D games are usually tailored to suit their landscape themes by the use of a proper speech-bank and outfit. These outfits are usually identical to their landscape counterparts, such as the construction worker hat being identical to the hat obstacles that spawn in Construction Theme landscapes. In Worms Forts: Under Siege, the design and shape of the buildings change (e.g. Strongholds are Pyramids in the Egypt theme, but become domed buildings in another theme). Helmets, gravestones etc. unlocked from missions reflect the theme of the mission.
