  • The United Planets Secretary of Diplomacy, the Honorable Nimra C LaFong, had the difficult task of informing Princess Projectra that the United Planets had removed her homeworld of Orando from its roster, the planet having been destroyed. This left Projectra a refugee, without royal or diplomatic status. In view of Projectra’s services as a Legionnaire, LaFong arranged a ‘provisional UP habitant’ status for her, with an invitation to apply for citizenship of Earth, or any other planet of her choosing. Projectra’s response to this offer was not gracious.

Despite Projectra’s accusation of ‘arrogance’, LaFong appeared to be a conscientious individual making the best of an unpleasant duty with the limited powers at her disposal. However, in a later conversation with Projectra, Councilwoman Sydne Ardeen, Saturn Girl’s mother, stated that LaFong had called for Ardeen’s impeachment for misuse of office, and implied LaFong was part of a larger anti-Legion alliance within the United Planets administration. The truth behind these allegations was unrevealed.
