| abstract | - Analysis of the ship revealed that it was part of a multi stage rocket and normally should only have a travel range of a hundred trillion kilometers. It was however encountered in interstellar space where it had been adrift for an undetermined time. Its pilot, Turan Tot Narut, was a missionary, one of twelve, who was sent out to bring the lessons of the Great Teacher to other worlds beyond his own world. His mission was the first to be launched while the others were delayed due to inclement weather, and most likely the only one after Turan Tot Narut discovered the true size of the universe, which his people had misunderstood at first. After this discovery he sent his homeworld a message not to launch the other ships, realizing how unsuitable their ships are for long term interstellar travel. When the Enterprise crew brought Turan Tot Narut over he had been on board his ship for three hundred and seventy two days, being very close to death. (TOS comic: "The Hidden Face")
