It is a weapon for which no cure was developed, with an 80% mortality rate for all who are infected with it. Anything of a carbon-based nature is immediately affected. The Wall of Germs is highly resistant to heat treatment and even boiling it for an extended period of time is useless. There was a report that extremely high concentrations of ozone could be used to annihilate the bacteria but this would not work on humans.
