| abstract | - Navok was a male Klingon, a flag officer in the Klingon Defense Force military in service to the Klingon Empire in the 23rd century. As of the year 2291, he held the rank of general. At some point in his life, he was cut in the throat, leaving him with a deep scar and a voice that barely rose above a whisper. During the chancellorship of Kesh, Navok began to grow concerned that the Empire was being bankrupted by the Council's bellicose militarism. With a number of like-minded officers, they began to explore the possibility of a military coup d'etat. Recognizing that doing so would provide the Romulan Star Empire with the opportunity to conquer the Empire, Navok imposed upon his good friend, Ambassador Curzon Dax, to arrange a covert meeting with unofficial representatives of the Federation. On stardate 9121.4, Navok met with with Captain Spock and retired Fleet Admiral Harry Morrow, to whom he explained his case for Federation assistance in bringing about a change in the Klingon government. While the two Federation citizens were aboard his ship, Navok had the bad fortune of encountering both Captains Klaa and Kang.
