They ran out of CJB ovarian cultures before Sevarin did; as a result, when a member of the farm community Crystal Springs in Las Sands decided to raise a son to be a doctor, he went all the way to Sevarin to get a culture. The Las Sands representative to the Population Council wondered if the sending of dead ovaries to Athos might have been an honest mistake.
