Squirrelflight glared at his dead body, it lay by the stream, a gash right in his throat. The complete scent of what was thought to be her daughter... "Hollyleaf....You killed him...." Tears spilled from her eyes. Looking from the boughs of StarClan, Ashfur looked away. "She deserves to feel pain...." He gasped out, trying not to cry out to her. "I-I wish I didn't try to kill her father....Firestar didn't need to feel the pain, she did!" He growled. Yellowfang glared at him from the far right, her eyes were narrowed. "There's nothing to regret, nothing to feel anymore, Ashfur." She meowed in a low voice. "You are gone, and Squirrelflight has lost everything. She will lose more soon." Ashfur looked to her then closed his eyes. "Why am I the one who had to go, then?" Squirrelflight stared at Brambleclaw, the one she had always loved...Even as she almost lost him to Ashfur, she still regained his trust....But he never knew the secret, never knew that she never beared the kits.
