  • Polenonne (Bedaye: Podoneyn, "River Roots Cronenn") is the capital, and most-populous city of the Badlands. Polenonne is jointly ruled by the Four Great Generals of the Badlands (Great General Governor Ferbles Blachorn, Great General Corr Herson, Duchess Great General Gwenn Sefendel, and Great General Renngus 'Gus' Etaye) at the Four Scorpions; four giant stone scorpions that serve as the personal quarters of the Four Great Generals, located just a few kilometers northwest of Polenonne on the Mandible Peninsula. They are made of stone quarried over from the Tooth Mountains. Polenonne is the second-most-major walled-city of the Delklands, only behind Lobtonne's "Tall Walls," and just edging out longtime rival Hocktonne; Polenonne's walls seem to be made of a mysterious redstone quarried all the way from the Mattes Great-Sea, just like Hocktonne and Westeye. Within those walls is one of the most-diverse populations of the Delklands: Cubenners (also known as Erthkii), Badlanders (already a mix of Ayish, and Farwestern), Sefenlanders, Sarplanders, and a large Farwestern minority all call Polenonne their home. The city is dominated by baazars, and food markets, all of which are constanly buzzing with business, one not being able to walk ten feet without being offered to taste some exotic dish, or urged to buy fine Farwestern cloths; this is mostly due to the influence of the Orange Company (owned by Ferbles Blachorn), and the King Crab Company. Polenonne is quite hot, and is seen as an oasis in a desert, being able to grow oranges, limes, and other citrus at amazing rates, with the Orange Company keeping their monopoly on it through their private armies.
