  • Enwater II is an Enspell wielded by Red Mages in Final Fantasy XI. It allows the caster to deal water elemental damage with conventional weapon attacks. Unlike the weaker Enwater, this spell's bonus only affects the initial hit of a main-hand weapon. A dual wielded off-hand weapon will not receive its benefit and multiple hits from Double Attack or a similar trait will only deal water damage once. In return, however, Enwater II's power increases slightly with each strike until it deals double its base damage. Victims also lose resistance to lightning.

abstract
  • Enwater II is an Enspell wielded by Red Mages in Final Fantasy XI. It allows the caster to deal water elemental damage with conventional weapon attacks. Unlike the weaker Enwater, this spell's bonus only affects the initial hit of a main-hand weapon. A dual wielded off-hand weapon will not receive its benefit and multiple hits from Double Attack or a similar trait will only deal water damage once. In return, however, Enwater II's power increases slightly with each strike until it deals double its base damage. Victims also lose resistance to lightning. The strength of Enwater II is determined by the mage's Enhancing Magic skill and certain pieces of equipment. Its damage is calculated with each swing and will therefore be reduced if the caster removes skill-boosting gear during combat. Like other water-based magic, its power improves during Watersday and in the presence of rainy weather. It also declines on Lightningday and during a thunderstorm.
