  • Boris Schwarzmann (Russian: Борис Шварцман) is a Russian actor. In 1980, he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinema (LGITMiK). He appeared in many TV and film productions, such as Agency NLS-2, Russian horror stories and Streets of Broken Lamps-4. His most famous role is in the 2004 German film Downfall, where he played the role of Matvey Blanter. The scene where he appears was cut from the theatrical version but can be seen in the Extended Edition. In this scene, he is put in a closet by the Soviet general Vasily Chuikov, because he wasn't wearing military clothes and could not pass as a military staff. The scene was based on a real life incident, noted in Cornelius Ryan's book The Last Battle. He also had a minor role in the 2005 series Brezhnev. Later, in 2011 he graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Theatrical Art.
