  • "Ungh…" Gai Nagareboshi stood upon a beach; endless sand and sea, but nothing else. Though… He could remember one thing. That time from ten years ago; when Hizashi and he travelled to the beach. That was quite possibly the fondest memory he had of her. Gazing to the ground, Gai picked up a seashell from the ground, uttering, "…Huh?" Analyzing the surroundings, Gai spotted a cloaked figure on a bridge, gasping and dashing in its direction. The figure approached the end of the bridge, stopping in their tracks completely. The sky above was a deep crimson, like Kurenai's wonderful hair…No, no, no, no, no! This wasn't the time to think about such things! Approaching the figure, Gai snapped, "H-Hey…!" No response. At least, at first. Swirling around to face the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid, the enigmatic figure removed their hood, leaving Gai taken aback. Something snapped in Gai's mind, as the figure's brown hair that jutted out in all directions at the back with several blue streaks in it was revealed. His hair was parted on the right side, and there were a few blue strands in the gap. His bangs framed his face. They possessed piercing, golden eyes. "M-Mitsuru!" Wait, what was happening!? Mitsuru was dressed as he used to when he was insane. Mitsuru lifted his arm in Gai's direction, uttering, "Surely, you must've known that this was going to happen." His eyes were full of anger. Wait, who was that directed at? It didn't feel like he was pissed at Gai. Hopefully. He really didn't want another Yuuki incident- whose hate was safer than her love. A voice rang out, "Why the hell would I know, huh?" As another familiar figure walked in from the bridge. They were a handsome young man with shaggy, white hair that extended down to their knees and spiked out in all directions at the end. His bangs were parted in the middle, framing both sides of his face and reaching down to his chin. He was well-toned and muscular. He was constantly shirtless; and he wore a two-tailed red trenchcoat which had a black collar; multiple flame designs were adorned upon the sides and sleeves, which also had black fur around the cuffs. He wore skin-tight black leather pants that ballooned out at the cuffs with flame designs on the legs. He also wore black fingerless gloves with shells on the back, and he completed his outfit with black sneakers. Wait, Giri!? Gai switched his gaze through the two of them, as Mitsuru continued, "Because, if you remember correctly, you've been travelling before you settled down in Rukongai." The two began to circle Gai Nagareboshi, who began to panic. What the hell was going on!? Suddenly, the voices of Kagirinai Nagareboshi and Mitsuru Inazuma synchronized, as they spoke, "And, of course, in those places, the only beings you encountered were the corrupt, cruel, evil kind." Whoa! Was, was this really happening? It seemed that the very world around them was crumbling; the textures of the sky, the rocks, the sand, and the sea began to fade as black matter seeped from them, with the world around him becoming similar to a void with black ink drizzling everywhere. Gai clutched his head in extreme pain. What-what was happening? He couldn't stop screaming, as all sorts of thoughts flowed into his mind, overloading it. Meanwhile, Giri and Mitsuru continued to circle him, as if they were unaware of the world falling apart around them. "That's all that's left in your soul—the darkest of memories." The Mototsu and the Nightwalker said in unison, as Gai's mind throbbed a mile a minute. This—this was far too much. He felt as if his brain was about to explode and render him a void being. Slowly, Kagirinai and Mitsuru picked up speed, their eyes sharpening as they summoned their Zanpakutō to their hands, as if ready to do battle. Was this merely a nightmare? Or was this a vision? One thing was for sure—it wasn't good. Gai Nagareboshi fell to his knees in agony, begging for what was happening to cease. Too bad, doing so had no effect. "Don't you understand? Your memories of your home cease to exist—every one of them." The two stated, as Gai immediately realized who was saying what. This must've been from some time ago, when Giri went after Mitsuru himself. Though…he wasn't really sure, to be honest. That wasn't the problem here, though! Gai thrust out his right hand, barely catching his fall, as black liquid oozed out of the world faster, eventually covering Soul Society in pitch-black darkness. He swore—this was really damaging his brain. The flashes of memory which flowed into his mind grew more intense, as he felt the dark force which had an iron grip upon him slowly grab onto him once more. "Shut the hell up! I remember them all—each and every one of them! They're my…my closest friends!" Despite their voices being in unison, Gai could tell that it was his older brother speaking. Purple flames amassed and converged upon Kagirinai's hand, before expanding and giving birth to his Zanpakutō, Mezame. G-Gah! An unusual sensation ran through the Mototsu-Seishin hybrid's body, as he felt his skin melting off to reveal Kurenai, who continued to clutch her head in pain, falling to her side in excruciating pain. No, it wouldn't end, that was for sure. She couldn't stop screaming; Gai felt as if his and Kurenai's thoughts and feelings were melding. Kazuma continued to squirm in pain, as the two shouted in unison, "And who threw away those friends!? You've forgotten, you're the instigator of the Mototsu Massacre, Kagirinai Nagareboshi! It was you who caused all of this!" A wily smirk formed upon Mitsuru Inazuma's face, as Kagirinai snarled at his foe. There was nothing but animosity and hatred exchanged between the two, before their release commands resounded throughout the air, as the Mototsu and the Nightwalker leapt at each other, neither one backing down. Kazuma's eyes flashed an ominous golden, as his pupil contracted in a reptilian way with a 'cross-like' pattern and his scelera turned a haunting crimson. His hair grew longer, which travelled to his mid-abdomen. Red rib-cage like protrusions pointed at the center of his chest. He also had spiked shoulder-plates which were white and red, and his entire body became purely white. He wore a tattered white robe, which greatly flared at the edges and had black protrusions coming out of them. With this he wore white hakama with black stripes that were kept fitting with a black obi sash at his waist. He also had multiple black rings floating around his head like a halo with multiple Shining Onslaught waves floating around him in the form of "wings". This was the Awakened Form of Gai Nagareboshi—whose eyes were wide in agony, his head throbbing in severe pain. In that same position, an unidentifiable figure clutched Kurenai in their hands, who was disheveled. In her comatose state, she uttered, "Who am I? What am I…here for?"
