| abstract | - The BAE Sea Harrier is a navalised version of the famous Harrier VTOL. The Sea Harrier first saw action with the Royal navy Agains the Argentinians in the Falklands war of 1982. In the late 1980s, all Sea Harrier FRs.1s were upgraded to Sea Harrier FA.2 Standard with the ability to carry Advanced-Medium-Range-Air-to-Air-Missiles and these new Harriers served with the Royal navy in Operation Deny Flight. During Deny Flight, a Sea Harrier was shot down by Bosnian Serb Forces but the pilot survived and was rescued.
