  • Home on the Range is a classic western folk song, sometimes called the "unofficial anthem" of the American West. It is sung by The Jukebox Band in the Season 2 episode, A Dog's Life.
  • Home on the Range is the forty-fifth full-length animated feature film in the Disney Animated Canon, and was released on April 2, 2004. It tells a tale of three cows who search for a wanted criminal to save their farm from going bankrupt. This movie is notorious for being an absolute commercial failure (despite mixed reviews from film critics) and it is often blamed for putting traditionally-animated films out of business, considering its quality consensus-wise, and the fact that it was one of the last traditionally-animated Disney film until The Princess and the Frog and Winnie the Pooh.
  • Home on the Range is a children's song that first appeared in When I Grow Up....
  • Home on the Range is a perk in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Honest Hearts.

Higley of Smith County, Kansas in a poem entitled "My Western Home" in the early 1870s. In 1947 it became the state song of the American state of Kansas. Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time. It was sung by Francis Monogram in "Buford Confidential"

  • Oh, give me a home where the buffalo roam Where the deer and the antelope play Where seldom is heard a discouraging word And the skies are not cloudy all day Home, home on the range Where the deer and the antelope play Where seldom is heard a discouraging word And the skies are not cloudy all day How often at night where the heavens are bright With the light of the glittering stars Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed If their glory exceeds that of ours

  • (The Disneycember logo is shown, before showing clips from Home on the Range. The main theme of the movie, "(You Ain't) Home On The Range", plays throughout. Note: Doug's voice sounds extremely bored here) Doug (vo): All right, let's get this over with. Home on the Range. Yes, okay, out of all the Disney films I was gonna see for Disneycember, this is the one I wanted to see the least, and let me tell you, folks. It didn't disappoint. It gave me exactly what I thought I was going to get. Oh...God, do I hate this film! This is right up there with The Aristocats, just no creativity, no spontaneity, no passion, no effort, just pure phoned-in mess. I'll tell you the story, because, really, you can figure out pretty quickly if you'll like this film or not.

The Chipmunks: Where seldom is heard, a discouraging word And the skies are not cloudy all day Dave: Wait a minute. Where are you fellas goin'? Alvin: We're gonna get us a cantaloupe. Simon: That's a deer little something to eat. Dave: Now that's not what I said. I said an antelope is a deer little animal that you have for breakfa... I mean I said a cantaloupe is something you eat like a deer. What I'm trying
