abstract
  • Coingood was a scribe employed by Lord Fangatooth Claw of Spendrugle. His main purpose was to record his lord's every word and deed in his rise to power for the lord's Tome of Tyranny. Coingood hated his job, his insane fool of a master, and the terrible town where he lived. His dreams of wealth and privilege had faded as much as had his eyesight. Temperature conditions on the job were often too hot or too cold for the wax tablets he employed to record his employer's twisted thoughts so he often only pretended to write. Lord Fangatooth often asked Coingood to embellish his accounts despite Coingood's insistence that he was a scribe and not a poet. Thinking on his youth, Coingood cursed his mother and the time when he was seven and saw horrible things in his sister's room. Later he reminisced on his experiences as an only child whose father chained him to teach him lessons about staying out after dark or cheating on schoolwork.
