| abstract | - A tentacle shoots out from the rocks and curls around Marge's ankle, dragging her under before she can tell Ruby about Rayquaza and Norman. She manages to eject and give him her Jewel, making Ruby marvel at her spiritual strength to control it without any training. Realizing that Marge believes she is about to die, Ruby yells that he wants to compete in a contest in her. Marge is startled that he figured out she used to compete in contests, but admits that maybe that is why she felt an affinity towards him right from the start. She tries to tell him about Norman, but he can no longer hear her, and she uses her memory lighter, carried by a balloon of bubble gum, to get the message to him. The cave then completely collapses, killing her. Ruby uses the memory lighter and discovers an image of the Balance Badge, telling him that Norman is here.
