| abstract | - The Robert Tonner Doll Company was established in 1991 and is well-known for both its ingenuity and quality. It is primarily known for the Tyler Wentworth 16" line of fashion dolls, but has recently earned a new audience with its 'character figures' based on characters in pop culture and movies. The Robert Tonner Doll Company made its first BJD line, Evangeline Ghastly, in 2007 under the Wilde Imagination imprint. The first Tonner-line BJDs were given as gifts to convention attendees in 2008 (Lady G, Posey, and Daffy). Ball-jointed Tyler Wentworth and Betsy McCall dolls were also announced in 2008.
