There, his parents engaged in frequent fights, often with his mother viciously wounding her father with her horns. Les's father eventually left the woman, taking his son with him. The battered and beaten man sought refuge in a career as an ice cream salesman. Young Les grew up living in the cargo bay of an ice cream spacetruck. At one point during his childhood, a tragic incident deprived Les of his horns, and he had to have them replaced with prostheses. In his service to Zurros, Les found himself serving as a double agent for both the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems. Following Order 66, he assisted Xzylon in rescuing Jedi Purge survivors on behalf of the Alderaanian Resistance. He also protected Xzylon from frequent assassination attempts. During a trip to rescue Jedi children on Belsavis, he pretended to be pirate First Mate "Frank." He developed a bit of a crush on Shaak Ti, but she did not return it.
