Born in 120 ABY as Malphas, the son of two powerful Sith Lords who fled the One Sith in order to keep their son, Malphas killed his parents and the child who eventually became the Emperor was granted and the title of Darth Malphas by the current Dark Lord Darth Krayt. Malphas was stationed on a world in the Outer Rim called Wylok and stayed for the next hundred years, during which he witnessed the destruction of the Galactic Empire at the hands of the Galactic Alliance in the Second Imperial Civil War, as he did not participate. He then summoned the remaining Sith Lords to Wylok to cast an army on the Jedi in order retake the galaxy, but it was a trap and Malphas killed all of them. Before killing all the Sith Lords, Malphas travelled to the planet Mimban with the legendary Kaiburr crystal. Malphas used an ancient ritual and the ritual was a success, but only as Malphas had planned—He drained the crystal of all its power into himself, increasing his power in the force a thousand times over as a result, becoming the most powerful being in the galaxy. He ceased to exist as Darth Malphas, known thence forth as simply the Emperor. With the few Sith survivors of the Alliance's onslaught, the Emperor led his people on a twenty year journey that ended at the lost homeworld of the Emperor called Balstros. From there the Sith rebuilt their Empire, while the Emperor ruled over his domain. The Emperors power kept growing over time, he discovered and achieved Immortality. Over the centuries, the Emperor still intent on waging war upon the Galactic Republic Union, some members of the Shadow Council grew disllusioned to the Emperors plans, fearing the repercussions from the Jedi. This led Darth Amaas to start a conspiracy to overthrow the Emperor, Amaas ordered fake assassination attempts on her own life to frame a rival. However, the Emperor interfered with her plans by suggesting that she bring in outside assistance in the form of his apprentice Darth Colak. Knowing that the Emperor's Rage and head of the Grand Military would be a great asset to unseat the Emperor, Darth Amaas took Colak to Wylok to see his masters destructive nature for himself. The Emperor knew of the conspiracy by his servants and killed all of the council and his apprentice Colak tried to destroy the Emperor but failed and was tortured to death. Darth Colak's attempt on his life prompted the Emperor to rally his people by claiming that some of the councilors were spies from the jedi and all had to be purged to be sure, this made the empire support their highness for war. The Emperor signaled the return of the Sith Empire to the known galaxy to begin the Dark Galactic War.
