Imperial commandos were trained and used by Imperial Intelligence in many operations to undermine Republic Strategic Information Service and assassinate high priority targets. Notable Imperial Commandos include Cormun, Kalmic and the Shadow Captain. Imperial commandos wore a heavily armored uniform with a helmet very different to that of a standard Imperial soldier. Most Imperial Commandos wore light grey armor however members of the Korriban regiment wore red armor. This is probably an attempt to make the soldiers armor more camouflage as the landscape in Korriban is made up of red-colored sand.
