| abstract | - Joanna Foster appeared in Coronation Street in January and February 2001 as the fourth and last actress to play Susan Barlow. She is the daughter of actor Barry Foster, famous for Van der Valk, and the sister of Miranda Foster. A singer as well as an actress, she has performed pieces by Brecht and formed an acapella group with singer Venice Manley and has been a member of the group Beskydy who play music from the Balkans. Her stage roles include Measure for Measure, The Lady from the Sea, Brezhnev’s Children, All My Sons and The Criminals. Television roles include Testament of Youth, The Visitor, Brookside, The Bill and Family Affairs.
