  • Khokha (in Arabic الخوخة ) is a furry, peach-colored (her name also means peach) monster on Alam Simsim, the Egyptian co-production of Sesame Street. Khokha visited New York City, paid for by the Mosaic Foundation. The group, consisting of the wives of Arab ambassadors to the US, is funding the show's dubbing into Classical Arabic, for broadcast throughout the rest of the Middle East. Khokha was created to help kids, specificly girls, to be whoever they want to be, since girl power isn't so common in her middle-eastern area.
