| abstract | - Brodie Brazil (born April 3 1981) is a Sports Reporter and Anchor, formerly of KICU and KTVU's Emmy Award winning programs, The A's On Deck Show and High School Sports Focus. Born and raised in Castro Valley, Brazil attended Castro Valley High School and then graduated from San Jose State University, with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Brazil is known for his entertaining and hands-on approach to broadcasting. Some of his signature segments included "Out of Bounds", "Swisher Unscripted" featuring Nick Swisher and "Baseball Clinic", where Brodie would discuss the finer points of the game on the McAfee Coliseum field with various Oakland Athletics players. Away from work, Brazil is an FAA certified Commercial Pilot with an Instrument Rating.
