Kirschner's film career began with Steven Spielberg when they collaborated on An American Tail and its sequels and spin-offs. Kirschner also produced the popular Child's Play horror film series and the animated sci-fi film Titan A.E. (with Paul Gertz). His Emmy wins and nominations come largely from his work on the Curious George animated television series.
