The great reception encouraged the production of his second CD, Romantika. Set for release in May 2008, the collection of songs ponders love, separation and redemption. Anders’ music and lyrics have been cooking for decades. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, Anders grew up in a home filled with music. Not only from the thousands of choirs for which his nation is known, but also his Father’s diverse collection; Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, and later The Supremes, Dionne Warwick and Burt Bacharach. At an early age, his brothers turned him on to The Beatles, Elvis, The Beach Boys, The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and the whole Brit pop scene of the 70s. Following his influences and passion, Anders wrote his first song at age eleven. He continued to write and perform for friends and family until embarking upon his professional music career. Before pursuing his life-long dream of music, Anders followed family tradition. He happily married and had three loving children. He met success with his first career in strategic management consulting and his expertise stretched over many disciplines, countries and industries, garnering great respect and attention from international clients. He soon moved to America and became Co-Chairman at the Ross Institute. Here, he established and united educational, entertainment, and technological communities to create new ideas and growth that opened international dialogue about teaching, health care and environmental concerns. His professional efforts were recognized and lauded globally. Anders Holst now approaches great success again with Romantika, the result of a long term collaboration between Swedish colleagues Mats Bystrom (co-composer), Jerker Eklund, and Alar Suurna, along with Cleo Award-winning filmmaker Peter Israelson for the EPK.
