rdfs:comment
  • The Tribals (also known as natives or primitives) are a group of people living on The Isle coming soon to the game. They rely on the use of very primitive technology and use their knowledge about nature and the environment to survive the harsh landscape.
  • The term tribal refers to a large number of cultures and communities that, for the most part, live a primitive lifestyle with their own beliefs, customs, and sometimes even language. Joshua Graham describes Tribals as "families of families". For the most part, Tribals possess a highly religious or mythologized understanding of the old world, in contrast to the more cynical and scientific views held by other wastelanders. As such, they often consider pre-War technology and structures taboo, preferring to live in isolated agrarian communities or as nomadic hunter-gatherers.

abstract
This mystical worldview and disconnect from the pre-War world often leads to Tribals being stereotyped as backwards and uneducated by more "civilized" wastelanders. Members of tribes that do not fit these stereotypes, such as the Boomers and New Canaanites, are often not regarded as Tribals at all.
