Synopsis | - Wally West takes Linda Park, Jay Garrick and Jesse Quick to Manchester, Alabama to ask Max Mercury about Savitar. Instead, they find Impulse and XS being attacked by Savitar's agents. Wally is able to easily defeat the ninjas, and Bart tells him Max has been missing for several days. So they search through Max's journals and find an entry on Savitar.
Max once battled Savitar with Johnny Quick years ago. To defeat him, Max led the villain to the edge of the Speed Force. Max jumped out before Savitar, skipping ahead in time only a few years. But he knew Savitar would eventually return in the future, with more power and knowledge from the Speed Force.
Max then escapes from Savitar and joins up with the other heroes. But is wounded, as Savitar has carved a map to his castle in Max's chest. Wally asks XS to give Jesse Quick her Legion Flight Ring since he trusts Jesse and she already knows how to use flying as a combat skill. Wally and Jesse then head out to drop Max off at the hospital and confront Savitar.
