When she was just 13 years old, her cousin commite suicide, she has said that this was a very bad year because she had a really good connection with him. During 2001 she started the band The Answer, the style of the band has been referred as Nu Metal (althought some albums shown other influences from Death, Thrash, Industrial/Electronic, Melodic & even Gothic Metal/Rock). The band first release was in 2001 called Songs for Ugly Children, the album recieved mostly negative reviews, this lead them to change the musical style and they incorporate a more Industrial/Electronic sound to their music, then in 2003 the Clown - EP was released this album recived positie reviews. Later in 2004 the band released the album Truck this album has a song entitled "Number 6" that is inspired in Daina's cousin and his life before suicide, with this album the band had more succes in music industry. In 2007 they released their self titled album, this also lead the band to start the "The Answer WWT". In 2010 they released their second EP entitled "The Calling" , this EP contained a Ghost Track , some copies of the album spelled it as "Caroline", Daina has refused to talk about this track during interviews. Later in 2012 the band's first live album was released, this contained some tracks recorded during The Answer WWT.
