Synopsis | - Steve Rogers, Black Widow and Falcon have no idea where Baron Zemo has taken Bucky. Rogers even tries denying a call from the President to try and think, before realizing where their quarry has went.
In the English Channel Islands, Bucky has been dropped off at the island where everyone thought he died. There, he fought through Zemo's guards until he reclaimed the shield, amidst Zemo's taunting about how he doesn't deserve to live and that he's lying to himself to think that he wasn't himself when he was the White Soldier. He then incapacitates Bucky with a hidden device on the shield before strapping him to a similar drone plane. Zemo admits to Bucky that he would at least finish the job his father failed to do. Then again, Bucky could take the easy way out and die or free himself and deal with the consequences back home. As the plane takes off, Bucky, in the midst of trying to free himself, realizes that Zemo is right; he didn't earn his life; nonetheless, he frees himself before the plane exploded. He then reclaims his uniform and shield, as he is rescued by his friends. He apologizes for going out on his own and strides to return home and deal with "a whole other hell waiting for [him]...".
