The series is an alternate history set within the same timeline as Halo where another ring is discovered during the events of Halo 3. After abandoning the soldiers on the ring, the UNSC fled back to Earth leaving behind material and ordnance. The series follows the three Protagonist's; Darknal, Conan and Cosmic of Spartan Squad Omega as they attempt to flee the ring.

Although not officially part of the Halo canon, it further expands the Halo storyline and even goes as far as to "reveal" the planet Master Chief drifts to during the end of Halo 3. Its main characters are Spartan Squad Omega, made up of Darknal, Cosmic, Conan, and for a brief period, Dolphinnie.

The Spartans lose, and episode 4 backpedals to show us what happened prior to episode 1. Eventually, the prequel episodes that follow catch back up to the events of Episode 3, after which Cosmic and Darknal wake up in a hospital. Conan has gone missing, and a huge number of Elite and Spartan reinforcements have arrived. The Elites have a plan to destroy the human race, and the Spartans must defeat them. Shit explodes. If Michael Bay created a Machinima, it would probably be a lot like this (but more poorly written.)
