In a 2007 interview with Louis Meschino Bill Ellis admitted to hating raisins, the controversy that followed caused some of Ellis's kite sponsors to lose interest, which sent Ellis into state of poverty until recieving financial help from girlfriend Coral "" Carrasquillo and friend Tyler Radford. After such tragedy, Bill Ellis is reported to be back on his feet and looking for new sponsors.
