Mortie was in charge of Project Sim. He was called in from work once Cy-Gor escaped.
When Cy-Gor reached the shores of New York City, Mortie followed the body trail into the subway system. He freed his partner, Werner Zevon at the end of the trail who had been spared by Cy-Gor's rage.
