| abstract | - The Iron Horde was the name of the Horde while under the rule of Garrosh Hellscream. The name was christened in response to Vol'jin's secession and declaration of civil war under the name of the True Horde. The Iron Horde consisted of Orcs, several Tauren tribes who had remained loyal to the Horde after the ascension of Magatha Grimtotem as High Chieftain of the Tauren and her secession from the organization, Goblins (who didn't take part in the Siege of Ogrimmar). The Iron Horde was virtually disbanded after the Siege of Ogrimmar, which saw Garrosh Hellscream die at the hands of Thrall and the Horde once again became one.
