| abstract | - SasuIchi (Japanese サス一) is the term used to refer to the romantic relationship between Sasuke Uchiha and Ichiki Kuran, or Kohaku Uchiha as she is later known. Ichiki Kuran/Kohaku Uchiha is the property of AmberKorpse on deviantART. Team Seven is specifically requested to rescue the daughter of the Kuran head shortly before the Chūnin Selection Exams. Once they locate the girl with two adults, it is ultimately Sasuke that saves her. Ichiki is momentarily caught off guard by his appearance, as he reminds her of someone else, and he grabs her. She then develops a small crush on him, but doesn't know how to express herself so nobody realises it until Sasuke defects and Ichiki is visibly distraught. Ichiki attempts to go after him several times, but is stopped each time by her younger sister. The first encounter these two share in Shippuden is when Ichiki is burying her younger sister. He taunts her and she knocks him out using her Mind's Eye genjutsu. Sasuke, now determined to revive his clan, attempts to court Ichiki. She gives in to every now and then, but seems to have no intention of marrying him. They produce twin daughters, Sayuri and Koyuki, which she keeps secret from him for three years when she joins the Akatsuki. He only meets his children in a staged fight where Ichiki fakes her death by his hands. She then pretends to be reanimated with the rest of the Kuran clan and sacrifices herself to revive her sisters. Tsunade, whom had become a sort of foster mother to Ichiki, later performs a jutsu similar to the one that Chiyo used to save Gaara to reunite the three sisters once again. However, the Kuran siblings have no memories and are then given new names as well as lives by Kakashi as he had been a childhood friend of Chika Kuran. Ichiki Kuran becomes Kohaku Uchiha and gives Sasuke a son, Itsuki. Kohaku has given Sasuke four more children and used to teach at the Ninja Academy. Sasuke takes on a genin team and is very protective of his children, often spying on them whenever he has downtime. Kohaku is more relaxed now that she is older and has none of her negative memories. Their eldest son marries the eldest child of Sakura Haruno and Rock Lee, Sarada Lee. When they have grandchildren, it is revealed through stories and musings that Kohaku passed away while on a mission in her eighties. Sasuke, a widower, lives another five years.
