Fairbanks went back to the Scarlet Monastery and told the members of the Crusade about Renault's betrayal. Those that believed the high inquistor left the Crusade and formed the Argent Dawn. However, the loyal members of the Scarlet Crusade killed him for his tale and was raised after being infected from the Plague while in Stratholme. As an undead, Fairbanks continues to serve the Scarlet Crusade. Members of the Argent Dawn invaded the Monastery and killed Fairbanks. In death, Fairbanks is released and can finally rest in peace.
