Text | - "You may study there, but I won't allow you to forge a chain and abandon your family."
- "I will consider your request."
- "Is studying at the Citadel truly what you want?"
- "I want you to be happy, Jon. Let me see what arrangements we can make."
- "You would be willing to leave [Your Holding] forever?"
- "I am not your heir, my [lord/lady]. You did not give me Brewer's Shore. Where do you expect my place to be as a man? Serving my sisters forever?"
- "It is, my [lord/lady]. I am a scholar at heart. I always have been," Jon says simply. "At the Citadel, they finally saw value in the things I can do."
- "I will never bear arms and win glory on the battlefield or tournament" Jon says firmly. "Id I must forge a chain to be a scholar, I will."
- "Why would you want to wear a chain and serve another lord?"
- Jon is eagerly regaling you with stories of the Citadel. Then suddenly, he gets serious. "I belonged there, my [lord/lady]. I want to become a maester."
