  • -Working on an update... :)Background Born on the remote world of Duunir in the Outer Rim, the Neti grew and lived as part of the jungle for an unknown number of years, perhaps even decades. He was discovered there by a human smuggler named Tarik Montero, and his co-pilot and mechanic Sian Dhur, a Sullustan. Their shuttle had crashed down due to systems malfunction, and when the emergency hatch failed to open, the two found themselves trapped inside the burning wreck. The Neti discovered the crashsite and freed the injured smugglers, staying with them until a rescue party arrived. Out of gratitude for saving their lives, he was then offered a chance to leave his homeplanet and join the crew aboard Tarik´s ship, the Shadow Cat, a modified YT-2000 light freighter. The Neti accepted, curious and eager to learn more about other worlds beyond his home, and traveling the stars in order to find others of his kind. He was given the name Nafrayo by Tarik, meaning ´Forest child´ in Socorran. Though none of them recognized what kind of creature he was exactly... The two smugglers agreed to show him the ropes of their trade. In return, the Neti helped out with all kinds of menial tasks, like assisting Sian with maintenance and repairs, or loading and unloading cargo. His species inherent shapeshifting abilities served them well on their smuggling runs, with Nafrayo simply growing over the hidden contrabant and pretending to be some kind of weed. Impressed by Nafrayo´s quick learning and sociable nature, Tarik even taught him to fly his ship. When his help wasn´t required, the Neti enjoyed reading, spending hours to study the ship´s databanks about anything new and interesting that he´d heard about. Not even knowing his own species name, he tried to find informations about his origins, but to no avail. He also developed an uncanny ability to sense danger, as well as experiencing ´bad feelings´, when something was about to go wrong. The Neti was Force-sensitive, and quite strong with it, though there was no one among the Black Bha´lir to recognize this, much less train or teach him. Displaying a calm and even-tempered demeanor, as well as loyalty, Nafrayo was eventually invited by Tarik to become a member of the Black Bha´lir, a small society of smugglers who followed a strict Code of Honor. He was accepted, and after 5 years of learning and proving himself, the Neti eventually earned the rank of Pilot. Without a ship on his own, he stayed with the Shadow Cat. He was permitted to borrow the ship from time to time, though Tarik made it very clear that he wanted it back without a scrach. After another failed attempt to find out more about his origins, Nafrayo, decided to take a break on Ord Mantell. After landing there for necessary maintenance and repair of his ship, the Shadow Cat, the Neti suddenly felt like being watched. Since he could not find anyone, he made his way to one of the cantinas. With his Mentor Tarik being busy back on Socorro, and their mechanic Sian tending to a family matter on his homeworld of Sullust, Nafrayo only had the ship´s astromech R2-SC for company. Inside the cantina, he was approached by a stranger, who introduced himself as Temo Alusar, stating that he was in need of the smugglers help. Wearing a simple brown robe, a leather belt and a shabby cloak, the elderly human then asked Nafrayo to deliver something to the jedi temple on Yavin 8. Nothing big, just a small ornamented box. He´d sensed the Neti´s strong force potential and realized, that Nafrayo was still completely unaware of his Force-sensitivity. Obviously, he´d never even heard anything about Jedi, the Force, or lightsabers... which wasn´t bad after all. Usually, people would come and seek the way of the Light, having expectations about what a Jedi´s life was supposed to be like. Some only seemed to want to join, because they´d heard some old stories of Jedi being all-powerful heroes or invincible warriors. So instead of telling him anything about it, or revealing why he knew about the Force himself, Temo just decided to send him on his way to the temple. With a box full of Adegan crystals, and a few credits as payment for the delivery. He would leave it to the Force, and the Jedi there, to answer his questions... Nafrayo wouldn´t expect anything, he was unaware, and unprepared. When Nafrayo entered his ship, Temo just smiled and said: “You will probably find what you´re looking for.“ The Neti turned to face the stranger, quite surprised, and was about to ask what that was supposed to mean, but Temo was gone. He looked around, but his ´client´ just seemed to have dissappeared... Quite confused, but curious, Nafrayo ordered R2 to prepare for take off. This looked so much like a blue-milk-run...Family Since he´d found himself alone on Duunir, he knows nothing about his parents, siblings, or any other Neti. After being accepted into the Black Bha´lir, they became the closest thing to a family that Nafrayo could think of. His closest friends among them are Tarik Montero, his Mentor and Captain of the Shadow Cat, and Sian Dhur, the Sullustan mechanic of the ship. Most of what he´d learned, he learned from them.
