- Kazim is a Member of the Brotherhood. He set Sir Richard's tomb on fire whille Dr. Elsa Schneider and Indiana Jones were still inside! Later, he and his men ambushed Walter Donovan's convoy with Indiana Jones. Yet he was mortally wounded and before he died, he warned Donovan and Elsa of the traps.
- Kazim was the leader of the Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword in 1938. He led a team of Brotherhood members in Venice to stop Indiana Jones, Marcus Brody, and Elsa Schneider from finding the tomb of the Grail Knight and the second marker. When Jones discovered the entrance to the catacombs in the library, Kazim used his pistol to knock out Brody, then followed Jones and Schneider into the catacombs. Seeing the oily seep in the water of the tombs, Kazim threw a match into it, igniting the oil in an attempt to stop Jones.

Kazim revealed the existence and purpose of the Brotherhood, and when Indy revealed that he was not seeking the Grail, but instead looking for his father, Kazim told him that his father was held at Castle Brunwald and then left. Later, as the Nazis mounted their expedition in Hatay to find the Grail, Kazim spied on their attempt to compensate the Sultan of Hatay in Iskenderun. When the Nazi caravan entered the desert, searching for the Canyon of the Crescent Moon, Kazim and the Brotherhood mounted an attack from the hillside, using rifles. During the attack, Kazim was mortally wounded. Before expiring, he gave a final warning to Donovan and Schneider.
