  • Governors
rdfs:comment
  • In Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords there are four different governors. Each settled planet has a colony governor that can automatically act to update the improvements of a planet when new technologies are researched. The other three governors can be used for more global actions across your entire empire. You can use the rally point governor to quickly re-direct ships from one rally point to another. Another governor allows you to quickly stop building one type of ship and switch those planets to make another type of ship. A third general purpose governor allows quick changes to the rally points for newly constructed ships.
  • If a Settlement is formed, but a licensed prospector has not been assigned to it, the first prospetor that should come across it may request governorship. In all cases the title of Governor and primary access to the Settlements resources shall be given to the first requestor. - Central Trading Prospector's Exodus Guide, pg. 143 Settlements can be seized by other prospectors by attacking a governed Settlement and winning. The governorship is instantly transferred to the victor.
