However, in July 1999, fragments of the Ulysses descended on the planet, many nations being affected by the planetfall, Estovakia amongst the most affected ones. Fragments also fell in the vicinities of Sonne, forming three craters, of which the largest is the Antenora Crater, which is similar in size to the Ryker Crater in the Usean Continent. Because of the area's close proximity to the North Pole region, Sonne Island is a cold arctic area. The island is surrounded by massive flat icebergs and glaciers. The largest glacier was strengthened and it was used as a base for Chandelier, along with its defense forces.
