Among those was a great Master of the Jedi Order, Uubacca, one of the few Wookiee Jedi at the time. Uubacca argued with the High Council, warning that the Jedi Order was putting itself at risk by subjecting itself to a political entity; one that would restrict their movements and undermine their authority. The Council dismissed this, saying it was their duty to bring peace to the galaxy. On this, Master Uubacca agreed with them, but said that by joining the Republic, they were only bringing peace to the Republic, not the galaxy at whole. He argued that the Jedi should be a separate entity and work for the better good of the entire galaxy, not just the Republic. His argument was in vain, however, as the Council would no longer listen to him. Finally deciding that the Jedi Order was beyond listening, Uubacca and many of his followers left Coruscant and the Jedi Order behind and headed for Uubacca's homeworld of Kashyyyk; a world that had yet to join the Republic or the Hutt Empire. Once on Kashyyyk, the former Jedi build an great Temple outside of the Wookiee city of Rowrakruk and named their new Order after the city. Shortly after the completion of their temple, the new Order of Rowrakruk held a conclave of its own to decide what doctrines they should follow. There they decided on a Code, and a group of tenets that the new order would follow. Uubacca himself took lead of the Order as its Grand Lord and decreed that they were to be an independent faction; not taking the sides of either the Republic or the growing Hutt Empire. Instead, the Rowrakruk began training new Force-sensitives and hiring mercenaries and bounty hunters which would aid them in not only spreading their Order beyond Kashyyyk, but also in fighting the evils in both factions as the Hutt War kicked off.
