Grossman debuted in 1954, when Grossman competed at Linden. Starting positions in the field of forty-three are unknown, but Grossman competed all but one lap and finished a remarkable 5th. Grossman didn't fare as well, though, when he returned to action in 1965 at Watkins Glen International. Starting 18th in the field of nineteen, Grossman had early differential woes and struggled to a 16th place finish.
