  • Trollkins is a 1981 animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions that aired for one season on CBS. The show was inspired from The Dukes of Hazard and The Smurfs. Essentially a cross between The Smurfs (which incidentally premiered the same day, September 12, 1981, in the same time slot at 8:30 ET) and The Dukes of Hazard, it followed the (mis)adventures of Blitz, Pixlee, and Flooky.
  • Just as the Smurfs are fond of the word "smurf", the characters in Trollkins use the word "troll" in a variety of contexts. Each half-hour episode consisted of two stories. The "Trollkins Trot" is held on March 17, coincident with St. Patrick's Day.
