  • Derived from data in the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign guide
  • The Aurek Tactical Strikefighter is one of the most successful starfighter designs in history. It faithfully served the Galactic Republic for roughly 3,000 years, from the Mandalorian Wars to the New Sith Wars, and is considered to be the grandfather to the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Light Interceptor and RZ-1 A-wing Interceptor designs. Taking a page from Hoersch-Kessel Drive's Cinnagar Interceptor concept, the Republic Engineering Corporation has reintroduced the Aurek with upgraded technology to put it on par with modern starfighers.

The Aurek is armed with two heavy laser cannons and two proton torpedo launchers, capable of holding six torpedoes each. The fighter has considerable acceleration and maneuvering, and has variable-geometry wings. They are easily refuelable and rearmable, thus driving down costs.
