| Synopsis | - As an unseen individual comments. "This is an interesting development" and "Fascinating." Spidey picks up his partner Flash Thompson, complete with jetpack and energy gun, to fight Dr. Doom who has captured the Fantastic Four. They meet Captain Stacy, Gwen. MJ. and Betty Brant, and the girls fight over Flash. Inside Four Freedoms Plaza, Doom is opening the Negative Zone portal to admit Blastaar and Annihilus. Spidey and Flash free the FF. then toss all three villains through the portal. They receive a ticker-tape parade to City Hall where Mayor Norman Osborn gives Flash the key to the city. When Jonah Jameson objects, Spidey decks him. During his acceptance speech. Flash gets a glimpse of himself bound into an immersion tank and suddenly feels that something is wrong. Watching on TV in Forest Hills, a wheelchair-bound Peter Parker realizes that Flash is right. Something is very wrong but. when Uncle Ben walks in. Peter forgets all about it.
