  • The Official Declaration of Separation, or more commonly called, the Announcement of Separation of Kansas and Colorado, is the official document and process of which the mid-western states of Kansas and Colorado separated from the United States. This document was drawn up at an emergency meeting in Kansas City, Kansas. These two states could no longer live with the crumbling political and economic situation in the United States. The decision to separate was made on the February 15, 2010, and immediately after 75% of the population voted "YES", the regional government sent out TV and radio broadcasts announcing this. Most people voted to join their Southern brothers, the Allied States of America, and be included into their territory. The United States government first resented the idea, but
