Barty Crouch Jr. was found only days later; wounded and half-insane, and was given the Dementor's Kiss on June 24, 1995. Although Crouch Sr. was an effective Minister, the truth about him harboring a Death Eater in his house for over a decade made him lose much of his popularity after his death.
