  • Bacculus
rdfs:comment
  • An endemic disease unique to Lemuris, spread by toxins that appeared in its atmosphere. Its chief symptoms are petrification of the limbs, paralysis, and dermal mutation, but if the toxins are neutralized during this period, the patient may still recover. Acute cases result in further mutation of the skin and muscles, leading to dehydration and hardening of the internal organs, and eventually resulting in death. Once internal petrification begins, random muscle spasms can cause the victim to become violent and uncontrollable before finally passing away.
  • The disease came from the Epiphanies of Guidance, specifically one on Lemuris. It gave Ghimdo and many others in the villages on Lemuris this illness. The party attempted to cure the village from this but failed as instead of getting the source of illness in a symbology stone, they destroyed it. This killed most of the village including her Grandfather. Other than this, Bacculus is not mentioned until a similar disease is found on Roak; the "Stone Illness".
