Moon: He he sorry I can't help it this town looks awesome. Moon: Hey look a restaurant want to go in there? Lain: Well it looks like a nice place but I think I'll wait out here. Waitress: What can i get you Ma'am? Moon: Can I get you special and some root beer please? Waitress: Coming right up. Laura thinking: What's that cat doing is it a stray? From what i saw she just wanted to get something to eat and all you do is run her out. You have no right to treat anyone like that. Lain: Yea she looks to be a sweet girl and you were rude to her. Do you mind Lain staying with you while I got get supper. Lain: Sorry about Moon but once she gets a idea there's no changing her mind. All we can do now is wait till she comes back. Lain: Don't worry you should've seen Moon back at the restaurant. She was more angry then I seen in some time. She was all ready to fight them but they said a few things that made Moon walk out carrying me. Because I was all ready scratch their eyes out. Lain: Even though we did not know you then. We still couldn't let them say what they did without saying something back. Laura:I'm thankful she did that but it's not going to change anything. They will keep doing the things they do. I know not to go to the town but sometimes i feel like i need to. Even though i shouldn't i still go down there and deal with everything they throw at me. Lain: It's not right what they did. And i can't really do much. But it seems to me they don't want to get to know the real you. One day the towns people might bite off more then they can chew. Laura: I'm sorry i don't understand. What do you mean. Lain: I'm saying one day they might pick on you the wrong day and pay for it. Laura: I don't want anyone to get hurt cause of me. Lain: If the person sees it fit they will do help even if the whole world doesn't think it's right. Just trust me. One day you will find your happyness. Moon:Sorry it took a little more time then i thought. But i found some great plants that will help all of us even you Lain. Lain: Really Moon you know I don't like eating that. Even if it does give my coat a good shine. Laura: I don't mean to sound rude but why? Moon: Why what? Laura: Why are you doing all this? Lain: The reason Moon is doing all this because she likes you. Don't worry once she makes up her mind no one can change it. Moon: Yep even Lain can't stop me once i make up my mind. I decide your my friend now and well need a good meal. So i decide to make you a meal my mom taught me. Lain: Moon look what you did. You made the poor girl speechless. Moon: Opps he he sorry Lain. Didn't mean to do that. Moon:Here i think you need this more then me. Laura: S-sorry and T-thank you M-miss Moon for the flower and supper. Moon: He he he it's nothing. A good meal for a good friend. Lain: You going to be ok? Moon: Yea it hurts but i know they are still with me. I feel bad because she doesn't know anything about family or what it means to be loved. Lain:You want to help her? Moon: First i need to gain her trust. I doubt she will let me in right now. Lain: What was that do you think marines are on this island? Moon: I don't think so but i think i know what it was. Did you feel the air get warmer before Laura walked off? Lain: I thought it was cause of the fire. Your saying Laura might have caused it? Moon: Well that might be the reason for that explosion. We might have to wait till later because i don't think it would be wise to follow her if she is upset. It might cause more trouble. Lain: Wait Moon if you go over there you might get hurt as well. Moon: But we need to calm Laura down before she hurts herself worst. Lain: I know that but she might get more upset if one of us gets hurt. Moon: It's ok Laura. No one's going to hurt you. Lain: Is she ok? Lain: Will she be ok? Moon: Yes there was no broken bones that i could see. We will have to wait though to see if the bandages need changed later. Laura: T-there we g-go. M-maybe i could y-yea i can do that. Moon: Lain? Lain: She took the bandages you put on last night and well she was healed. I think she went to go find get something for her guest. Moon: I see well i better get things ready since i know we're gonna be leaving soon. Maybe i can make a kit for her. With that Moon got to work too. Both girls were working on something for the other. Neither one of them knowing about what the other was doing. About half day Moon was done with what she was doing. She smiled at the her work. 2 of the small crates had bandages and other medial things in them. While 2 other small crates had food in them that wouldn't go bad for a week or two. Lain looked at all Moon did and sighed. Lain: It seems like someone was a busy bee. Moon: Well it's the least i could do. I mean it must be hard not having anyone to show kindness. Moon: Hey Laura i are you ok? Laura: Y-yea i umm I'm fine. It's just y-you did all this and w-well. Lain: I think Moon is happy with what you made. They are both very pretty. Moon: I love it thank you so much Laura. I guess you can tell we've been busy. Lain: I gotta say girl. I'm not one to wear something like this but this is very pretty. Thank you Laura. Laura: A-are you t-two leaving? Lain: Yes dear if we stay longer the log might change. But don't worry one day you will find the people whole will love you. Moon: Listen Laura right now it may see like no one cares but remember you got two well one person and a cat that cares. No matter what happens never forget ok? Laura: Mister Nova gave these to me. I always keep them on and even though i still have nightmares when i wake up i hold them close. It helps a little to scare them away. Moon: Well then how about I bring out something else that will help? Moon: I got a blanket just like this back on my ship. I made this one a few weeks ago. I think it will do better helping you then sitting collecting dust. Moon: Don't worry everything will be fine. I'm sure the day will come you will meet the ones that will protect you no matter what. When that will be i don't know but i know you will find a family. Those that care about what's on the inside. Lain: And it's ok to cry but who knows maybe we will meet again. Laura: W-well i g-guess.
